Hawaiʻi's Premier Parrot Rescue · Education · Community Support Organization
Whether you have a question about adoption, need help with a bird situation, want to join our community, lost or found a parrot, or simply want to say aloha — we’re here. Reach out any time.
HFFN is a volunteer-run nonprofit. We don’t have a storefront or a staffed office — but we do have dedicated people who check messages regularly and respond with care. Phone or email is usually the fastest way to reach us for most inquiries.
Not sure if your question is the right kind to send our way? It almost certainly is. Here are the most common things we help with.
HFFN is not a veterinary service and cannot provide emergency medical care for birds. If your parrot is ill or injured, please contact an avian veterinarian immediately. We maintain a directory of avian-experienced vets in Hawaiʻi — see our Health & Veterinary Care page for guidance on finding care.
Our Facebook Communities
HFFN’s most active day-to-day community lives on Facebook. For quick questions, lost bird reports, and community connection, our groups are often the fastest way to get a response from our ʻohana.
The single best way to connect with HFFN is to come to one of our monthly gatherings. Third Sunday of every month, noon to 4:00 pm, Moanalua Park — 1289 Mahiole Street, Honolulu. No registration, no fee, no pressure. Just bring your aloha. Meeting dates are posted on our Facebook page and in the Hawaiʻi Parrot Forum.
