From our monthly meetings at Moanalua Park to guava wood harvesting days, toy making sessions, and the annual Hawaiʻi Pet Expo — there is always something happening in the HFFN ʻohana.
All HFFN events are listed below. The calendar updates automatically whenever new events are added — bookmark this page to stay current.
Our monthly gatherings are the heart of HFFN. Whether you have kept parrots for thirty years or just brought home your first budgie, you belong here. Come early, bring something for the potluck, a chair or blanket to sit on, and bring your bird if you like. There is no obligation, no pressure, and no membership required to attend your first meeting.
Once you enter Moanalua Park from Mahiole Street, follow the path toward the back of the park. Look for the Big Tree — that is where we gather. If you hear parrots, you’ve found us. Meeting dates and any location changes are always posted on our Facebook page and in the Hawaiʻi Parrot Forum.
Beyond our monthly meetings, HFFN participates in and organizes a range of community events throughout the year. All confirmed dates appear on the calendar above. Here is what typically happens across the year:
